Confederation Lake

So they told me it was a normal hike around Inland Lake... they neglected to mention that it was a 7 out of 10 in difficulty (10 being the hardest) and  required about a 2,000 foot climb, with snow, ice and sinkholes at the top! And, it wasn't around Inland, the trail-head was off of the inland lake loop...

But, thankfully the rest of the crew was not in that great of shape either, so there was plenty of rest breaks. Either way, the view at the top was breathtaking... the lake was entirely snowed and frozen over, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the mountain peaks in the background framed the scene...

Spirits were high coming back, seeing the end was near from all the switchbacks, gnarly rocky pathways and knee hurting down going.

All in all its one more thing to check off my list, although I'd probably not want to do it again too soon.

Today though I did the hike around Inland lake, it is incredibly beautiful at this time of year, but by the end my feet were complaining and my muscles were sore. Which is good.

I did not finish the contest as well as I had first planned. Weight wise I have been maintaining for the last month or so although there has been a downturn in physical activity. As the weather gets nicer I've been making a really good effort to get out there, taking up a bit of hiking (did Valentine mountain yesterday lovely!)

I wasn't up to it today but I was thinking it would be incredibly cool to run around Inland... I wonder if thats even possible lol.
